Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda S\u00e1nchez Carri\u00f3n, VicePresident of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in Spain .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"LEFT\">On Thursday October 24, the <strong>Association of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in Spain<\/strong> (<a title=\"Association of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in Spain\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ingenierosnavales.com\/index.asp?idioma=2\" target=\"_blank\">AINE<\/a>) handed over the award for <strong>Best Spanish ship built in 2012<\/strong> to <strong>Zamakona Yards<\/strong>. The event took place as part of the 52nd Congress of Naval Engineering and Maritime Industry for the year 2013, under the theme \u201cEngineers and Engineering. The sea as an opportunity&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" align=\"LEFT\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our President <strong>Mr. Pedro Garaygordobil<\/strong> received the reward from <strong>Mr. Luis Vilches Collado<\/strong>, Dean &#8211; President of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers in Spain. The award certifies that the ship <strong>ESVAGT AURORA<\/strong> is the Best Spanish ship built in 2012. The event took place at a gala dinner held at the Club de Campo in Madrid.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Zamakona Yards won the final at Metalships &amp; Docks with the vessel North Ocean 105 and Arm\u00f3n Vigo shipyard with the ship Angeles Alvari\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The shipowner is the company <a title=\"Esvagt AS\" href=\"http:\/\/www.esvagt.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Esvagt AS<\/strong><\/a>, owned by the Danish multinational <a title=\"AP Moller-Maersk\" href=\"http:\/\/www.maersk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>AP M\u00f8ller &#8211; M\u00e6rsk<\/strong><\/a>. ESVAGT AURORA\u2019s primary mission is to provide immediate assistance to emergency situations and to provide support to deep sea operations. The ship is specially adapted to service in adverse weather conditions in the Barents Sea.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The vessel incorporates the latest cutting-edge technological developments for the launch and recovery of rescue boats, de-icing equipment to prevent accumulation on deck as well as equipment for pollution control. It meets the highest standards required by the Norwegian authorities for this type of vessels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this award, Zamakona Yards is positioned as market leader in Spain and Europe manufacturing offshore vessels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Left: D.
